Early Years Education funding information
How does the Early Years Entitlement work at Little Learners?
Little Learners provides parents with options of how they would like to access their child’s Early Education entitlement (government funded hours). There are three options for parents to choose from before choosing to enrol their child. We recommend parents read this carefully and take time to ask the Nursery any questions they have prior to enrolment.
Option 1 provides parents with the choice for their child to attend their Early Education hours, fully funded with no additional charges, extras or consumables. There is no limit to the amount of fully funded places available to families at St Anne’s and Castle Batch. These sessions are offered on half days, mornings or afternoons; 9.00am – 1.00pm or 1.00pm – 5.00pm. Sessions are subject to availability.
Options 2 and 3 provides parents with the choice for their child to attend their Early Education hours in longer ‘Short Day’ day sessions, with the agreement on enrolment to a £4.00 per day consumables charge. Options 2 and 3 allow parents the choice to pay for additional hours, if they wish for their child to attend more hours per day between 7.30am and 6.00pm. Sessions are subject to availability.

What are the unfunded dates?
Little Learners we are able to offer funding over 47.5 weeks of the year meaning that there are some part or whole weeks of the year that funding is not available. Parents/carers will be invoiced for any sessions that would usually be covered by funding during the unfunded weeks to allow your child to attend their usual booking pattern.
We are pleased that many of the unfunded days fall on Bank Holidays or at Christmas when Little Learners Nursery is closed and fees do not apply, therefore parents are unaffected by these unfunded dates.
